Liza Soberano met award-winning Hollywood actress Tilda Swinton at a fashion show in Singapore.
On her Instagram page, Liza shared snapshots and clips from the event of luxury brand Chanel including the moment she interacted with Tilda.
In the video she posted, the two can be seen holding hands as they exchange words.
Fans online were quick to react to Liza's post.
"Iba ka talaga mah," one fan commented.
"So proud of you Hopie!" another fan wrote.
Tilda is an acclaimed British actress whose honors include an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards, and a Volpi Cup. She has also earned nominations for five Screen Actors Guild Awards and four Golden Globe Awards. In 2020, The New York Times named her one of the greatest actors of the 21st century.
She recently starred in Ballad of a Small Player (2025), The Room Next Door (2024), and A Sudden Glimpse to Deeper Things (2024), among others.
Meanwhile, Liza is set to be one of the lead voice cast members in DreamWorks' upcoming animated movie Forgotten Island.
Liza will be joining H.E.R., Lea Salonga, Manny Jacinto, Dave Franco, and Jenny Slate as the movie's lead voice cast members.
Forgotten Island tells the story of lifelong best friends Jo (voiced by H.E.R.) and Raissa (voiced by Liza) who become stranded on the magical, long-forgotten island of Nakali where the only path home may mean giving up their most treasured memories.
The film is being written and co-directed by Filipino-American filmmaker Januel Mercado alongside Joel Crawford. Universal Pictures is set to release the movie in theaters on September 25, 2026.
Liza previously lent her voice to the Filipino-dubbed version of the Netflix animated series Trese in 2020.
Liza made her Hollywood debut in 2024 through the film Lisa Frankenstein, where she played Taffy, a cheerleader and the half-sister of Lisa (portrayed by Kathryn Newton).
In an interview with Yong Chavez of ABS-CBN News during the film's premiere in February 2024 in the US, Liza shared that she felt overwhelmed by the positive feedback she received for her performance.
"Sobrang na-overwhelm po ako kasi hindi ko in-expect na maraming, I don’t know, makakapansin kagad sa akin. I play a supporting character, obviously, in 'Lisa Frankenstein' and it’s just so overwhelming to hear that people really love my character and they really love the comedic timing that I bring to the story and everything," she stated.
