Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu shared the behind the scenes of her hair transformation for her new role in the upcoming series, The Alibi. In her latest YouTube vlog, the Pinoy Big Brother host got emotional as she hasn’t cut her hair that short in several years.

Kim’s haircut is due to her new role. This time around, she won’t simple be wearing a short wig.

“We are now here for the makeover… Ever since, hindi talaga ako nagpapagupit ng hair. It’s either wig lang talaga. Pero ngayon for the role because I love the sining. So, I think gagawin na talaga natin,” she shared.

She got her hair cut by hairstylist to the stars RJ dela Cruz, mentioning that she only trusts the latter to cut and style her hair.

Throughout the vlog, Kim was seen going through a rollercoaster of emotions. Even she had difficulty with the idea that she was going to have her hair cut. It was revealed in the vlog it took some time for her hair to get to the length they needed it to be for the highly-anticipated series.

“Lord, I offer my hair to the success of this teleserye,” she said.

The Kapamilya star added humor to her hair cut session, giving herself positive affirmations that everything will turn out fine and the new hairdo will fit her. She recalled how she didn't like getting her hair short even when she was a child.

“Paka OA pero hindi, OA talaga. Kasi diba sabi nila, ‘yung buhok mo is part of ‘your confidence but I’m gonna give another kind of confidence–– kinoconvince ko sarili ko,” she quipped.
