It’s been over a year since Fyang Smith was hailed as the Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner. Now, the 19-year-old former housemate is pursuing a promising career in showbiz, having starred in the iWant rom-com sries Ghosting earlier this year. She is now one of the stars in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins along with love team partner and fellow PBB alumni JM Ibarra.

During the October 27 presscon for the film, Fyang shared what was the most important lesson she has learned so far in her first year in the biz.

Tinitingnan namin yung sarili namin as in pantay pantay. Parang walang mataas, walang mas mababa. Pantay lang kami kaya nagbibigayan kami ng respeto sa isa’t isa, kung kanino man yan,” she said.

With the recent launch of the PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, the former PBB housemate shared her learnings from her own stay last year.

On a more serious note, Fyang said that during her stay inside the house, she did not feel too conscious about all the cameras surrounding them.

When it comes to attitude, Fyang gave some advice to the new housemates on the importance of being genuine.

Kung bad o good man yung ipakita nila sa loob. Hindi mo naman ma-pi-please ang tao talaga eh so I suggest sa lahat ng housemates ngayon na huwag sila matakot na ipakita kung sino talaga sila kasi feeling ko mas ma-a-appreciate sila ng taong bayan pag hindi sila naging plastic,” she added.
