Amidst persistent rumors that he and his wife Ellen Adarna have already separated, actor Derek Ramsay took to social media to celebrate the first birthday of their daughter Liana. In his Instagram post, Derek shared his favorite photos of his only daughter, whom he lovingly refers to as “Lilyput.” The couple wed in November 2021 after almost four months of dating.
In his Instagram post last October 22, Derek wrote, “My Sweet Lilyput
“Happy happy First Birthday, my love.
“I can hardly believe a whole year has gone by since I first held you in my arms. It feels like just yesterday that I looked into your tiny eyes and felt my entire world shift. From that moment on, you became the center of my heart, my purpose, my forever.
“Watching you grow this past year has been the greatest joy of my life. Every smile, every little giggle, every Papa and every milestone. Even the quiet moments when you're simply resting in my arms have filled me with a kind of love I didn’t know was possible. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I thank life every day for the gift of you.”

Derek also included short video clips of him shelf spending time with his baby daughter at home. He added, “I want you to know lilyput that there is nothing I wouldn’t do for you. I will always be here to hold you, to guide you, to laugh with you, to comfort you. To protect you with everything I have. My love for you is endless, unconditional, and unshakable. No matter how big you get, no matter where life takes you, you will always have a home in my heart.

Prior to his daughter’s birthday post, Derek last posted about her in early October where he shared a video clip of himself talking to her through the phone and can be heard saying, “I love you so much, baby girl. We will go shopping for you tomorrow morning, okay?”

Last month, Derek broke his silence and came to the defense of his wife, over a blind item posted by social media personality Xian Gaza who was hinting about her separation from him. In a lone Instagram Story, the Filipino-British actor immediately squashed the rumor, after waking up from his hotel room during a recent trip to Japan. He said, “Good morning guys so there’s this issue about this Mr. Xian Gaza. I’ll just keep this very simple–– there’s no truth to anything that was said. That’s it. That’s all I have.”
The couple were last seen together in public in September at the 7th birthday party of Ellen’s son Elias (with former partner and actor John Lloyd Cruz) where they celebrated with a Minecraft theme.
