Actor Derek Ramsay broke his silence and defended his wife, Ellen Adarna, over a blind item that was allegedly hinting about her by social media personality Xian Gaza. In a brief Instagram Story he shared earlier this week, the celebrity husband maintained that there is no truth to whatever was said.
Xian shared in his blind item about a “super famous celebrity girl” and her split with a “celebrity guy” who happens to be a billionaire.

“Eh paano ngayon 'to? Kasal sila. Walang divorce sa Pilipinas. Eh peso billionaire si celebrity guy. May prenup bang pinirmahan si super famous celebrity girl? O waley? So meaning to say, may habol siya sa bilyones ni guy? Tapos yung anak nila, may habol din sa yaman ng kanyang ama? Under the guardianship ni girl? Is this the masterplan from the start? Nautakan ba siya ni babae?” Xian wrote in his Facebook post.
He didn’t stop there as he further gave hints as to who he was pertaining to in the comment section of his post. Without naming anyone, he dropped the characters of the hit romantic-drama film, One More Chance, where Derek played the role of Mark.
“Kung hindi mo sinalo si Basha mula sa breakup nila ni Popoy, hindi ka sana mapapahamak ng ganito, Mark. Bakit ka nagpauto? Pag-ibig nga naman,” Xian added.
Upon seeing this, netizens have assumed that the social media personality was talking about Derek and Ellen. Xian’s post has gone viral on various social media platforms already which is why the actor decided to stop the rumors from going on.
“Good morning guys so there’s this issue about this Mr. Xian Gaza. I’ll just keep this very simple–– there’s no truth to anything that was said. That’s it. That’s all I have,” Derek assured.
Rumors about Ellen and Derek’s separation trended on social media but it has since been denied by both parties. The actress maintained that she was also following her husband on Instagram despite what other people have noticed.
“Sooo... I never unfollowed my husband. Ever. And I don't know what's happening here on my IG. But here you go.... when I search his name - I'm following him. But on my following list, he's not there and I don’t know what's up with IG!? Ano ba talaga? Ako rin nalito nako lol,” she previously shared.
Ellen and Derek tied the knot back in 2021 only after three months of being in a relationship.
