MANILA — Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu admitted she has mellowed when it comes to love, saying she’s no longer as “OA” or over-the-top as she used to be. Meanwhile, her "The Alibi' co-star Paulo Avelino stayed coy when asked if he’s currently a man in love.
In The Filipino Channel's "Are You G?" hosted by MJ Felipe, Chiu said she was "OA" before when she was in love, but she changed because of her past experiences.
"Ganoon siya dati ma-in love, OA. Ngayon sakto na lang," said Chiu, explaining that experienced taught her a lot when it comes to love.
"Siyempre from experience kasi experience is the best teacher. It will give you the test before the lesson," she said.
"As you age, nagma-mature na rin on how you choose battles, how you fall in love, how you give, how you share, ganoon," Chiu added.

When asked to define love, the actress replied: "Ang dami talaga (definition) four letters, big meaning."
Joining Chiu as guest in "Are You G?" is fellow Kapamilya star and "The Alibi" co-actor Paulo Avelino.
In the show, Avelino was asked if he is also a man in love. His reply? "Kayo na bahala, Whatever makes you guys happy."
When pressed to define love, Avelino said: "Mahirap siya i-define kasi nag-iiba rin siya. Parang every year nag-iiba ang pananaw mo sa buhay at nadadamay na rin doon 'yung pananaw mo sa pag-ibig."
Working for the fourth time
In the show, Chiu and Avelino also shared what made them decide to join forces again for the upcoming mystery thriller-drama "The Alibi" -- their fourth project together.
"It was always a pleasure to work with Kim. Parang ang criteria ko naman palagi kapag may gagawin akong bago at least ibang istorya kumbaga may mao-offer kaming bago sa panlasa ng mga Filipino. It's so happened na parang 'yung konsepto nito it was pre-approved and they really wanted us, so sabi ko why not?" Avelino said.
"Very thankful, very happy dahil nabigyan ulit kami ng opportunity ng Prime na gumawa ulit nang another masterpiece from ABS-CBN and Dreamscape. Sobrang excited 'yung kuwento na ito parang hindi ko pa siya nagagawa talaga ever. So, habang may mga chance and opportunities bakit hindi gawin, of course with Pau," Chiu said.
"Hindi pa talaga ako gumagawa ng mystery drama so first time ko siyang gawin. Mga theories, mga ganyan, kahit nagte-taping kami naninibago talaga ako. Kasi ang alam ko lang nawawalang nanay, nawawalang tatay, nawawalang kapatid, mga ganoon. Ito, iba talaga," added Chiu, who's known more for her romcom projects.
For his part, Avelino said he enjoys doing mystery dramas, which is actually his forte.
"Nage-enjoy ako na gumawa ng ganito dahil parang mas malawak ang pwedeng gawin," Avelino said.
"May konting adjustment pa rin especially for our characters, lalo na 'yung character ni Kim, si Stella, medyo tricky siyang gawin, hindi pa niya nagagawa," he added.
For "The Alibi," Avelino and Chiu filmed in Cebu, her hometown.
Directed by FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin and written by Danica Domingo, and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, "The Alibi" is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 7.
