CANDON, Ilocos Sur — Thailand and Indonesia are through to the semifinals of the 2026 SEA V Cup.
The Thais defeated Myanmar earlier in the day, 25-15, 25-16, 25-19, in Pool B action on Thursday at the Candon City Arena here to snag a spot in the Final Four and claim the top spot of their group.
Nadapet Bhinijdee led their squad with 17 points, while Chaiwat Thungkham added 10 markers as Thailand took their second win in the competition presented by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), and Candon City Mayor Eric Singson.
Later in the day, Indonesia also claimed a semifinal berth after they thwarted Cambodia in Pool A, 25-18, 25-18, 25-21, behind the balanced attack of Boy Arnez Arabi, Farhan Halim, and Hendra Kurniawan.

Arabi top-scored with 14 points, Halim had 13, and Kurniawan chipped in 12 as the Indonesians gained a virtual advantage over the Philippines and Cambodia by having three points and three sets won, despite only having one win to their name.
Yesterday, Cambodia defeated Alas Pilipinas in five sets, 25-23, 28-30, 25-20, 22-25, 15-8, yielding them two points; Philippines, 1.
There will be no room for error for the Filipino spikers, as they need to snatch a win — regardless of set wins — against Indonesia on Friday to force a three-way tie at 1-1.
Regardless of the result tomorrow, Indonesia is still advancing by virtue of edge in match points.
