MANILA — Capital1 super rookie Bella Belen is no longer eligible to receive the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference.
This, as the Solar Spikers suffered an early exit in the play-in tournament, losing to Galeries, 20-25, 16-25, 28-30, on Tuesday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
According to the league manual, and as confirmed by PVL Control Committee chairman Sherwin Malonzo to ABS-CBN News, only players from teams that had qualified to the semifinal round can be awarded the MVP.

Despite this, the 2025 PVL Draft number one overall pick is still in the hunt for the Best Outside Spiker and Rookie of the Conference nods, said Malonzo.
Belen had a stellar conference, finishing on top of the scoring board after the preliminaries with 218 points, edging out Trisha Tubu (189), Savi Davison (185), Sisi Rondina (178), and Brooke Van Sickle (175).
The National University (NU) legend also delivered 20-point outings in eight of their nine matches as Capital1's main option in the offense.
She also finished fourth in spiking success with 35.16 efficiency, fourth in serving after averaging 0.31 per set, second in receiving with 40.84 percent efficiency, and seventh in digging with 3.06 average per set — statistics that prove Belen's complete, all-around game.
