MANILA — Creamline star setter Jia de Guzman eased concerns after suffering a bad slip, hurting her right knee in Set 5 of their thrilling affair against Cignal in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
De Guzman assured that she doing well and will be taking precautionary measures to keep her healthy.
"I'm okay," said de Guzman "It was quite a scare. It was just a bad slip, pero we wanted to be a little safer moving forward kasi actually mahaba pa 'yung season."
"We’re just going to observe this overnight. We’ll try to get a check tomorrow, and I’ll send updates. Hopefully, wala."

Entrusting Kyle Negrito to lead the team in the decisive frame, the Far Eastern University pride rose to the occasion, steering Creamline toward the end— gifting themselves a qualifying round berth by outlasting Cignal, 25-19, 25-20, 15-25, 26-28, 16-14.
"Tiwala ako noong nasa bench kami at malaki rin ’yung tiwala ko kay Kyle. I felt like she could carry that fifth set to the end. And they did. I’m super proud," she said.
"And thankfully nanalo kasi sa Thursday pa yung next game namin. So I have time," she added.
