MANILA — Choco Mucho clobbered Zus Coffee, 27-25, 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, to wrap up the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference preliminary round on a sweet note.

Both teams are already settled for play-in spots ahead of their Thursday match, but the Flying Titans will be the one having a win ahead of the next phase.

It was also a morale-boosting triumph for the Sisi Rondina-led squad, after experiencing back-to-back losses against Farm Fresh and PLDT.

After clinching Set 3 with a Tia Andaya block, the Flying Titans showed no signs of slowing down as they rushed to an 8-3 start that later ballooned to a 20-8 cushion, highlighted by Deanna Wong aces and Sisi Rondina spikes.

Veterans Rachel Anne Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga tried to rally their Zus Coffee teammates midway, to no avail as the momentum was on Choco Mucho's side, rallying to a 24-14 edge to reach match point.

The Thunderbelles still scored five straight markers, pouncing on Choco Mucho faults, but Eya Laure was there to finish the job with an off-speed hit, her lone point of the match.

Rondina finished with 18 points on 15 attacks and three aces while doing her part in the defense with 20 excellent receptions.

Kat Tolentino concluded with 12 points, Lorraine Pecana had 11, while Des Cheng and Maddie Madayag had 10 markers each. Behind Choco Mucho's superb offensive showing was playmaker Deanna Wong, who dished out 14 excellent sets to go with three aces.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga and Thea Gagate were the bright spots for Zus Coffee, after having 13 and 12 points, respectively.

The two squads will meet again in the play-in tournament.
