MANILA (UPDATED) — Cignal maintained its strong start in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference, surviving Farm Fresh, 25-17, 26-24, 20-25, 30-28, to stay perfect on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
With the win, the Super Spikers (3-0) remained in the hunt for an outright semifinals berth, which would be awarded to the team that sweeps the eliminations, alongside the idle Nxled (2-0) and PLDT (1-0).
"I'm really proud of my team because we work really hard and we really try our best to apply everything that's taught to us," said star spiker Vanie Gandler, who was the team's go-to scorer for today, pouring in 25 points on 24 attacks and an ace.
"We still have many lapses, many things to work on, but I'm very happy with how we're willing to learn and improve each training," added Gandler, who also tallied 14 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions, completing a triple-double performance for the Super Spikers.

Sitting on a 2-1 lead, the Super Spikers showed heart and grit in the endgame, tearing down a 22-24 deficit and saving multiple set points en route to the win.
A Gandler kill and a Ces Molina attack error knotted the match at 24-all, and the two teams exchanged points from then on.
Jackie Acuna's running attack propelled Cignal to match point once more at 28-27, but Trisha Tubu was there to keep Farm Fresh alive with a hit of her own. She was challenged for a net fault by Cignal, but was unsuccessful.
Riri Meneses then suffered an error on the service line for a 29-28 Cignal driver's seat, as Tin Tiamzon won a joust on the net to finally end the match in two hours and 21 minutes.

They also endured a Set 3 loss and a tough Foxies challenge in the second frame, where they trailed by as much as five points, 18-13.
Cignal unleashed a 4-1 run that overturned the game from the 20-22 count, with Farm Fresh leading, as Gandler exploded with two kills, backed by Rose Doria-Aquino's block and Ishie Lalongisip's off-the-block hit for a 24-23 advantage.
Royse Tubino resuscitated Farm Fresh with a sharp crosscourt hit, tying at 24-apiece, but Gandler was there again with a kill, and Gel Cayuna wrapped Set 2 up with a surprise drop, faking the Foxies defense with a 2-0 lead.
Erika Santos contributed 15 markers, while Cayuna not just showed her playmaking skills, but also her scoring prowess, registering 19 excellent sets and seven points, as national team veteran Dawn Catindig also had 17 excellent digs.
Meanwhile, the Foxies slid to 0-2, an unfavorable start for now-Farm Fresh coach Koji Tsuzurabara.
Tubu led three Foxies in double-digit scoring with 19 points, Molina had 18, while Tubino made her presence felt with 14.
