MANILA -- Adamson University survived a late challenge by Arellano University for their fourth straight win in the 2025 V-League Collegiate Challenge, Saturday at the Paco Arena Sports and Events Center in Manila.
With skipper Shaina Nitura again putting up big numbers, the Lady Falcons came away with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-22 result to improve to 4-0 in the tournament.
The win put Adamson a step closer to the semifinals of the preseason event.
Nitura delivered a game-high 21 points built on 18 attacks, two blocks, and one ace, while also contributing on defense with 10 digs and nine excellent receptions.
Kim Rocha provided the spark off the bench, scoring three of her points in the decisive third set.
"First of all, we thank the Lord dito sa four wins namin," said Adamson head coach JP Yude. "Siguro, nakikita ko lang kung paano mag-work 'yung mga bata, how they stick together especially during hard times. Especially kanina, lumalamang 'yung kalaban.
"So 'yun 'yung mga good thing, good problem, na sinasabi ko na kumbaga nao-overcome nila during the game," the former Soaring Falcon added.

After cruising in the opening frame, Adamson had to rally from behind in the next two sets as Arellano read their attacks well.
The Lady Chiefs tallied seven blocks—most of them in the second and third sets—with Sam Tiratira accounting for three.
Frances Mordi chipped in nine points, eight coming from attacks, while setter Fhei Sagaysay orchestrated the offense with 18 excellent sets in the sweep.
Adamson will try to formally secure a semifinal berth when it faces winless Mapua University (0-4) on Sunday at 10 a.m.
Tiratira led the Lady Chiefs with 12 points, while Laika Tudlasan added seven.
