Defensive specialist Justine Jazareno was the lone awardee from the Philippines in the second leg of the 2025 SEA Women's V.League, bagging the well-deserved Best Libero citation following the conclusion of the regional tournament on Sunday night.
Jazareno anchored Alas Pilipinas Women's defense throughout the competition, helping defend their side of the taraflex against regional powerhouses Thailand and Vietnam, as well as Indonesia.
The national team repeated over Indonesia, 25-17, 25-17, 28-26, to claim SEA V.League bronze medal anew.

The young libero joined Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen (MVP and Best Opposite Spiker), Vi Thi Nhu Quynh (Best Outside Spiker), Tran Thi Bich Thuy (Best Middle Blocker), and Thailand's Pornpun Guedpard (Best Setter), Chatchu-on Moksri (Best Outside Spiker), and Thanapan Wimonrat (Best Middle Blocker).
Jazareno and Leg 1 Best Outside Spiker Angel Canino were bright spots for the Philippines as they showcased not just their grit and determination, but also their defensive and offensive skills, respectively, on the international stage.

Meanwhile, Thi Bich Tuyen led Vietnam to a monumental SEA V.League title over Thailand, halting the latter's six-year perfect record in the regional contest.
The unprecedented triumph came in a comeback fashion, as the Vietnamese completed a reverse sweep 17-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-22, 16-14, in the virtual gold medal match, also this Sunday.
