MANILA, Philippines – Bella Belen had nothing but gratitude as she saw action in the Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Belen, a three-time UAAP MVP and champion, underscored that only select athletes were tapped to play in the Games, and that's why she was immensely thankful for the opportunity.
Joining her were guest players Angel Canino of De La Salle University and fellow National University products Ivy Lacsina and Lams Lamina.
She also rubbed elbows with Mikha Lim of nation's girl group BINI, whom she described as "very approachable."
"I'm very grateful and it's my first time [sa Star Magic All-Star Games]. And 'yon, piling athlete lang naman ang naglalaro rito, so 'yon very excited kung paano ko sila makakalaban," Belen shared with ABS-CBN News.

"Nakasama ko siya [BINI Mikha] one time mag-training, kasi 'yung training namin kahit magkalaban, sabay ng training. So ayun, very approachable siya, and mabait talaga siya. Sobrang sikat na siya, pero ang approachable niya," she added.
Belen also highlighted that it was the first time she played against fellow ex-Lady Bulldog Lacsina.
"Nakakalaro ko siya, tune-up tune-up, when I was with NU pa. So parang mas nauuna pa kaming maglaban dito kaysa sa PVL," the number one overall pick of the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft said.

Belen towed the Lady Spikers past Lady Setters in a close three-set match, 23-25, 25-23, 15-11, by firing 20 points on 16 attacks, two blocks, and two service aces.
