The Alas Pilipinas Men were taken down by revenge-seeking Thailand, 21-25, 20-25, 18-25, in a classification match at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 on Saturday in Manama, Bahrain.
Just last week, Alas Men have defeated Thailand here in Manila, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12, in the invitationals.

The Nationals have yet to see daylight, absorbing already three straight defeats—two in the pool phase and one in this round.
National University star Buds Buddin top-scored for the national squad with eight points, three receptions and two digs.

Marck Espejo, who has been stellar so far in terms of scoring, only had a point this match. Louie Ramirez and Peng Taguibolos delivered six markers each.
