MANILA, Philippines – Akari took home the bronze medal in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference after eclipsing Choco Mucho in Game 3, 25-15, 26-24, 26-24, on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

This is the Chargers' franchise-best placement in an all-Pinoy contest, overcoming their seventh-place conclusion last 2024 All-Filipino Conference.

This triumph also meant back-to-back podium finishes for Akari after securing the silver medal in the 2024 Reinforced Conference.

They shrugged off a Game 2 meltdown, where the Mich Cobb-captained squad absorbed an 18-25, 22-25, 29-27, 19-25 defeat at the hands of the Flying Titans.

Choco Mucho even claimed the inside track to the bronze as they had the superior points last game date.

But the Chargers overcame all of those to claim the third-place en route to a 2-1 finish in the series.

After dismantling the Flying Titans in the opener, 25-15, the Chargers continued their brilliant act in the succeeding frame.

They might have blew a six-point cushion at 18-12 and have allowed the Flying Titans reach set point at 23-24, the Chargers still managed to regroup and steal the frame as Eli Soyud fired a sharp attack, Ivy Lacsina enforced her will at the net, and Camille Victoria calmly scored with a service ace to close out the 36-minute Set 2.

Set 3 was a closer fight as Sisi Rondina imposed her will, helping Choco Mucho erode what was once a 24-22 Akari lead, but Soyud and Lacsina were there to send the Flying Titans packing with their clutch hits from the 24-all count to close out the game that lasted for almost two hours.
