MANILA, Philippines – Far Eastern University rose to number two spot at University of the East's expense, 25-20, 25-20, 25-23, in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament, Wednesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

This marked the Lady Tamaraws' sixth win in nine games, while the Red Warriors remained winless in all of their games.
Three heroes emerged for the scoring of the green-and-gold side, led by Jaz Ellarina who had 17 points (12 attacks, three aces, and two blocks), while Chen Tagaod had 15 points (14 attacks, one block), and Gerz Petallo also delivered 15 points (13 attacks, one block, one ace).
Petallo stepped up for the defensive side of things, listing 15 excellent digs and eight excellent receptions.
