MANILA — Myla Pablo relished the full circle moment she had on Sunday night—winning a PVL championship again with Lindsey Vander Weide.
Pablo and Vander Weide were part of Petro Gazz's title-winning run in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference, and they successfully ran it back this year, winning a second crown together.
"Ito na nga, nakuha namin 'yung championship with Lindsey and I’m really happy na bumalik siya sa amin and natulungan niya 'yung team namin," said Pablo.
Vander Weide's arrival meant stability for the team, said Pablo, amid the struggles they had.

"We’re happy kasi nakuha namin 'yung championship with Lindsey ulit, parang bumalik din talaga 'yung tiwala namin sa loob ng court. Also, ang dami ding struggles ng team namin, ang daming changes na nangyari pero mas nangibabaw pa rin yung tiwala ng bawat isa," said the National U product.
"And you can see naman na hindi namin in-expect na hindi kami makakapag-semis and makakapag-finals din pero nando'n pa rin talaga 'yung respect ng bawat isa and 'yung tiwala din ng mga teammates namin and coaches namin na nire-remind kami sa loob ng court."
It was Pablo who nailed the championship point—but for her, she just wanted to return the favor and trust her teammates had in her, including her setter, Jules Tolentino.

"Nung binigay sa akin ni Jules 'yung last point, sabi ko, 'kailangan patayin ko na 'to'. Kasi siyempre yung tiwala ni Jules sa akin is naibigay naman niya," said Pablo.
"Ako naman kung ano yung binigay sa akin ng coaches sa loob ng court yun yung ginagawan ko ng paraan yung tiwala din sa akin ng mga coaches sa akin na ginawa akong opposite."
She delivered 14 points in their one-game final against Zus Coffee, where they won in four sets, 21-25, 28-26, 25-23, 25-20.
