MANILA — As Cignal enters a grueling stretch to try and secure a quarterfinal spot in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, bond and chemistry will certainly play a role.
But import Katrin Trebichavska isn't worried at all about that, as she had formed a relationship so strong, coining it as she's been with the Super Spikers her "entire life."
They're about to face league-leading Zus Coffee, which remained unbeaten in five games, and PVL's winningest squad, Creamline.
"I've said it before, and I still stand by it. The team is amazing. Everybody's helping me a lot, and I feel like—I've been here for two and a half weeks—and I feel like I have strong friendships with my teammates already," said the Slovak outside hitter.
Cignal got a much-needed boost in its tournament bid, stopping Akari in four frames, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, on Thursday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Thanks to Trebichavska's connection with the squad, she found the valuable contributions of 25 points on 22 attacks, two blocks, and one ace to lead all scorers, to go with nine excellent digs and seven excellent receptions.
"I feel very welcome here. I feel like I've been here for much longer than I actually have, and I just wish the season was longer here because I'm really enjoying this and the chemistry," she said. "I just feel like I've been a part of this team for my entire life."
Trebichavska expressed solid belief that she and the Cignal crew could win—including today, against the Chargers.
"Obviously, the whole team had a really good mindset going into this. We all wanted to win. We all knew we can," the Cignal reinforcement said. "And there was never hesitation to be talked about or even felt. Everybody was so sure we can do this. And we did it."
