MANILA — Annie Mitchem said Sunday that she wants to play again with Akari if given the chance.
Mitchem powered Akari's podium finish in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference, dropping 36 points on PLDT and escaping with a 15-25, 25-23, 21-25, 26-24, 20-18 win in the bronze medal match.
And for the American spiker, it's a no-brainer to be with the girls again as she hopes to run it back with the Chargers in an import-laced tourney.
"I would love to come back. I hope I can come back to Akari," said Mitchem, who also had 12 receptions on the defensive side of things. "I really had the best time here. The relationship with the girls, the staff, and the coach loves me."

Mitchem relished her PVL and Akari experience, saying it was one of her "best moments."
"I'm really thankful to be here, and I'm just so happy I got to experience this. I've said this so many times, but I've had the best time here, and I wanna come back," she said.
Mitchem was glad to see Akari's heart and fight, acknowledging that in the fourth set, she thought it was over for their bronze medal dreams.
"In the fourth set, I thought it was over. I kind of was just preparing to just like finish. And then all of a sudden, we were winning. I don't even think we expected that. It was like a shock for even ourselves," she said. "And then in the fifth set, I think we started to fight more. And want to actually show what we can do and win."
Coach Tina Salak, for her part, said she was thankful for Mitchem's contributions to the team.
