MANILA — Kat Tolentino is grateful as her name was included in the Alas Pilipinas pool for the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, although she insisted that her focus is still with Choco Mucho.
Tolentino is one of the 20-strong Alas Women pool that could don the national tri-colors for the biennial meet.
This call-up marks her strong return, after having a series of medical conditions.
The Fil-Canadian spiker suffered an auditory condition and she previously underwent surgery for a ruptured appendix. Before, she also had three ACL injuries.

"I'm very thankful to be included and I know Alas has improved a lot this past year. But for now, I'm still focusing on Choco Mucho," the opposite spiker told reporters.
"Actually that's just an invitation, so its not guaranteed yet. I'm still focusing right now [with the] PVL," Tolentino also said.
Tolentino said she's pleased with how the national team program is going.
"The competition is a lot higher and I'm excited because the girls seem like they're jelling well and I think the system is improving every year. They've already won medals in overseas tournaments so I'm just grateful that it's improving."
In the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, Tolentino and the Flying Titans unfortunately could not mount a comeback, losing to Farm Fresh in four frames, 18-25, 13-25, 25-18, 24-26, on Friday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
