Criss Cross star Jude Garcia is MVP once more. PVL Media BureauMANILA, Philippines – Jude Garcia has been the best player in Spikers' Turf for a while now, having been named MVP of the 2024 Open Conference and recently concluded Invitational Conference.
However, it would have been better for Garcia and the rest of Criss Cross if that individual plum had been capped by a title. But once again, the King Crunchers fell short.
The Ysay Marasigan-captained squad fell into the hands of the mighty Cignal HD Spikers in straight sets, 25-19, 25-19, 26-24 in the gold medal match on Sunday.

He may be disheartened, but the loss did not dampen his resolve as he looked forward to the next season.
"So parang, kumbaga, kinapos kami ngayong season, ngayong patapos ng taon, pero may time pa kami makabawi next year. So talagang kailangan namin mag-prepare for next conference ulit," Garcia said.

The humble Far Eastern University (FEU) product refused to take all credit, acknowledging his teammates as he accepted another MVP trophy.
"Para sa akin ‘yung MVP bonus na lang ‘yon, kasi hindi ko talaga makukuha ‘yung MVP ‘pag wala ‘yung mga teammates ko. So, kine-credit ko talaga sa mga ka-teammates ko ‘yung MVP award na yon," he expressed.

"Kasi sila ‘yung nagiging strength ko every game kasi pinagkakatiwalaan nila ako. Tapos, ‘yung tiwala na binibigay nila sa akin talagang susuklian ko rin 100 percent."
Aside from winning the citation, Garcia was also named Player of the Week thrice this tourney.
