MANILA, Philippines – Zus Coffee cruised to its second win in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
The Thunderbelles, coming from a triumph over Nxled, followed it through by winning against Galeries, 25-22, 25-16, 25-19, on Thursday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Despite struggling a bit, failing multiple attempts to penetrate the Galeries net defense, Chai Troncoso finally hit one through with a crosscourt kill to reach match point, 24-17.

An Ysabel Jimenez sharp kill and an error from the Zus Coffee side still gave points for the Highrisers, but Clo Mondoñedo surprised their rivals with a drop to close out the one-hour, 31-minute volleyball encounter.
Coach Jerry Yee, talking about his team's growth, said he's here to see the Thunderbelles up their game further.
"Excited, siyempre. We see them practice, we see them improve. Gusto namin 'yung growth, gusto namin 'yung maturity lalo 'yung dala ng mga veterans. Ang laki ng push para sa 'min so hopefully magtuloy-tuloy kami," said Yee.

Chinnie Arroyo put up 14 points built on 11 attacks, two aces, and a block to lead the Thunderbelles, Chai Troncoso added 11 points and eight excellent receptions, while number one overall pick Thea Gagate added nine markers.
France Ronquillo and Roselle Baliton paced the losing side with 12 points each. They now have a 0-4 record after the loss.
