PAGSS Women’s Futsal Cup champions Capital1 Solar Strikers. Handout photo.MANILA (UPDATED)— The Capital1 Solar Strikers have emerged as the champions of the PAGSS Women’s Futsal Cup.
This, as the squad earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kaya FC-Iloilo last Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
Guided by former Far Eastern University coach Let Dimzon, the Solar Strikers secured the title through a decisive second-half strike from tournament MVP Regine Rebosura.
"This win at the Women’s Futsal Cup is a meaningful step for our young Capital1 Solar Strikers team. With a solid mix of experienced players and top-tier coaching, we’re on the right path in building stronger foundations for the team," said team owner Milka Romero.
"Our team showed resilience and cohesion from the very start. Congratulations to our players and to all the other teams that participated as we aim to build and support women’s football altogether," added Mandy Romero.
Meanwhile, Makati FC claimed third place with a 3-1 win over Azzurri FC, rounding out the podium of the 10-team women’s tournament.
Capital1's Yasmin Elauria took the Bootcamp Golden Glove. She and Rebosura led the Cherry Turf Mythical Five together with Yonah Dela Calzada (Makati FC), Maye Mendaño (Kaya FC-Iloilo) and Regina Aliping (Azzurri FC).

Handout photo.Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president John Gutierrez attended the final match, along with PFF Executive Committee Female Member Isabela Fernando, Philippine Women’s Futsal National Team head coach Rafael Merino, and PAGSS AVP for Corporate Affairs and Head of Administration Lisette Marque.
Also present were Giligan’s Restaurant Chief Executive Officer Filbert Alquiros, Henry Moran Foundation president Danny Moran, and the University of Asia and the Pacific Department of Physical Education Instructor Paul Encarnacion.
The tournament also provided a glimpse of what is to come when the Philippines hosts the first-ever FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 which will be held in Pasig and Victorias, Negros Occidental this coming November 21-December 7, 2025.
