The IATF, through the AO No.35, will be serving as the coordinating body for what the government will be providing in terms of planning, organization, and execution concerning the World Cup.

Marcos Jr. also previously ordered an IATF each for the Philippines’ hosting of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship 2025.

“The hosting of the FFWWC 2025 aims to advance the development of futsal in the country, inspire greater sports engagement among Filipinos, elevate the Philippines’ standing in the international sports arena, and generate economic and tourism opportunities through a globally recognized event,” the AO read.

The World Cup’s IATF will be chaired by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC). It will be through them that the efforts and needed support across government agencies, local government units (LGUs), and private sectors will pass to and from. The PSC also serves as the IATF’s secretariat.

Among the concerned government arms are the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as Vice Chair, the Department of Tourism (DOT), Dept. of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Dept. of Finance (DOF), and Dept. of Budget and Management (DBM).

The Department of Health (DOH), Dept. of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Dept. of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Dept of Transportation (DOT), the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) as well as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Immigration (BOI), and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) are also included.

The hosting of the Futsal World Cup is aligned with the constitutional mandate to promote sports tourism, which is why donations and further support are welcomed by the IATF.

The AO, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on July 30 — four months before the event proper —  will take effect immediately.

The World Cup is from November 21 to December 7, and will be held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig and in Victorias City in Negros Occidental.
