Last July 28, the 20-year-old Eala was toppled by 26-year-old Czech player Marketa Vondrousova, 6-3, 1-6, 2-6, in Canada due to the said shoulder injuries.

Fortunately, Eala is now back in training, and she will need all the preparations she can get as next up for her is a stint in the US Open.

Recently, Eala slipped to her present Women’s Tennis Association ranking from No.65 due to the results of her previous tilts.

Her previous career-best was No.56 which she earned last June, just after her campaign in the Eastbourne Open and right before she competed in Wimbledon.
