Filipina tennis star Alex has withdrawn from the Cincinnati Open due to a shoulder injury.
This was according to a report by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) on Wednesday, announcing the Rafa Nadal Academy graduate's unfortunate setback.
No other details were revealed regarding the injury, aside from her missing out on the upcoming WTA 1000 Masters event.

Mexico's Renata Zarazua will replace Eala in the main draw.
On Monday, Eala competed at the Omnium Banque Nationale in Montreal, Canada, against ex-Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova.
Eala took the first set, but fell short in the next two, absorbing a 6-3, 1-6, 2-6 defeat.
She still found the positive side of her Montreal trip, saying she had "so much fun on the court."
"Pretty in pink 🎀 Montreal was a short but sweet trip. I had so much fun out on court! Time to rest and recover🛠️," she said in an Instagram post.
