MANILA — Carlos Yulo was triumphant in his first showcase since the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The double-gold medalist from last year’s edition of the Summer Games recently ruled the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Korea on Saturday, winning gold in floor exercise, and bronze medals in all-around, vault, and parallel bars.
“This is my first competition since the Olympics, 10 months ago,” Yulo wrote in a social media post as he relished his recent victory.

“A lot can happen in that kind of silence — so does growth. All I prayed for coming into this competition was just to be healthy, steady, and get through it safely. But, God gave me so much more than I ever wished for,” he added.
However, it was not only the 25-year-old ace who celebrated this recent glory.

Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, also hailed the Leveriza native for bringing success and pride to the Philippines anew.
“My mahal, my champion — as you stepped onto the floor again, know that my heart is with you, always,” penned San Jose in a separate post.
