MANILA -- Filipina tennis star Alex Eala has moved two places in the WTA rankings from No. 75 to No. 73, according to the latest update on Monday.
Eala's two point climb resulted from the player movements above her.
The 19-year-old is now set to continue her journey in the clay season, where she hopes to build upon her historic run to the semifinals of the 2025 Miami Open.
In an Instagram story, Eala shared her jam-packed tournament schedule that starts on April 14 with the Oeiras Ladies Open in Portugal, a WTA125 event.

This will be followed by the Madrid Open on April 22, which is another WTA1000 tournament like the Miami Open. From there, Eala will see action in another WTA125 event, the Catalonia Open in Vic, Spain.
Her run will continue on May 6 with a WTA 1000 event in Rome, followed by the Parma Ladies Open, a WTA125 tournament, in Parma, Italy on May 12.
In an interview on "Power and Play" hosted by her uncle Noli Eala on Saturday, she shared that some of her tournaments were not originally scheduled prior to her WTA debut but did not cause drastic change in her plans nonetheless.
"In the end, I still have the same work ethic, I'm putting in the same hours—just with more results on my back," Eala said.
In the Miami Open, Eala pulled off upsets over three Grand Slam champions Iga Swiatek, Madison Keys, and Jelena Ostapenko, but fell short to world No. 4 Jessica Pegula in the semifinals.
