Despite falling short of advancing, the team’s journey became a source of national pride as their heartfelt messages on social media reflected the gratitude and unbreakable Filipino fighting spirit that carried them through the grueling challenges of the show.
"Maraming salamat to all our Filipino supporters and to everyone around the world who cheered us on throughout this journey! We fought with pride and with heart and we hope we have made you all proud," expressed team captain Justin Coveney, a rugby player and a two-time SEA Games gold medalist.
"What a rollercoaster and absolute adventure. It was an honor and privilege to represent the country and I’m so grateful to everyone who supported our team. To my teammates, you’re the best. I hope we showed the Filipino fighting spirit to the very fullest. Laban Pilipinas!!" said mixed martial artist, and SEA Games champion Marc "Mugen" Striegl.
Meanwhile, Ray Querubin, dubbed as the "Philippines’ Strongest Man," reflected on the lessons and camaraderie forged during the competition.
“It’s a great honor to represent our country in Netflix: Physical Asia. We’ve learned a lot during this competition, understanding our own strengths and weaknesses while building a strong team," said Querubin.
The Filipino roster, initially led by Manny Pacquiao, also included hurdler Roby Brown, CrossFit athlete Lara Liwanag, and the newcomer Justin Hernandez, who later replaced Pacquiao in Episode 7.
Hernandez, the youngest in the lineup, delivered a strong performance in the final events that earned praise from Coveney for his grit and determination.
