Filipina fighter Islay Bomogao. Handout/ONE Championship
MANILA -- Young Filipina fighter Islay Bomogao will try to pass another test when she returns to action in ONE Championship this weekend at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 24-year-old will take on Ran Longshu in a 101-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Friday Fights 93 on January 10.
There, she will try to follow up on her impressive debut last year, where she defeated Fuu via unanimous decision at ONE 169.

Bomogao clearly relished the experience and is eager to get back on the big stage.
"I love the spotlight. I love the loud people," Bomogao said in an earlier interview. "Everyone [in the stadium] was very excited, everyone was happy. I felt happy and everyone was really warm."
It won't be an easy bout against Ran, however, as she is also eyeing an impressive start to her ONE Championship career with a victory over the highly touted Filipina.
Bomogao's return is a precursor to what's going to be a big weekend for Filipina combat sports. Hours after her fight, Denice "The Menace" Zamboanga will take center stage.
