MANILA, Philippines – TNT veteran Jayson Castro is out for the rest of PBA Season 49 after suffering a patellar tendon injury.
The league announced this in a news release following reports of the development, as confirmed by team manager Jojo Lastimosa Saturday.
"He's out 10-12 months," said Lastimosa.

The 38-year-old guard was stretchered off the court as he laid down in pain around three minutes left in Game 2, Friday.
He was immediately brought to the hospital.

Before exiting, Castro already delivered 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

The Tropang Giga made sure to get the job done, escaping their semis rivals Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 93-91, in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
