Another Filipino player is headed to Japan's SV.League.
The Kurobe Aqua Fairies announced on Monday that they have signed middle blocker Maddie Madayag as a foreign guest player.
She joins Germany's Lena Stigrot and the Netherlands's Iris Scholten as Kurobe's imports for the 2024-25 season.
Madayag joins a Kurobe squad that is coming off a 4-18 campaign in the 2023-24 season. Their campaign starts on October 13 against Hisamitsu Springs.
A standout for Ateneo de Manila University during her collegiate days, Madayag played five years for Choco Mucho, winning Best Middle Blocker honors in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Alan Acero of Rebisco also expressed his pride in Madayag's career move.
