Israel's army released footage on Wednesday (December 4) of a strike on what they call a Hezbollah 'launcher' in southern Lebanon, amid an ongoing ceasefire agreement between the two sides.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the location or the date when the video was filmed.

In a post on messaging app Telegram accompanying the video, the army said "a launcher that was identified in Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon, violating the agreements between Israel and Lebanon and posing a threat to the State of Israel."

The conflict between Israel and Lebanese militant group Hezbollah was ignited by the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which erupted on Oct. 7, 2023.

The United States and France brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah on Nov. 27 in the hope of ending the deadliest confrontation between Israel and the militant group in years. Both sides accuse the other of breaching the truce.

Israel says it targets Hezbollah's fighters and infrastructure.
