Spotify has unveiled its inaugural batch of RADAR Creators in the Philippines, a program designed to spotlight and support emerging podcasters in the country.
In a statement, the music streaming service introduced the RADAR Creators Philippines Class of 2025, who represent "a unique facet of Filipino storytelling" through the podcasting format.
They include TV host Kim Atienza from "Ano Ba Talaga?", "It's Showtime" host and singer Karylle from "K's Drama," comedians Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar from "Your Honor," and online personalities Sophie Prime from "Dagok Time!" and Yani Villarosa from "Yani's Room."
Under RADAR Creators Philippines, Spotify will offer on-platform editorial promotion, marketing support, and mentorship opportunities to digital creators, aiming to help them reach a wider audience.
"Filipino creators are pushing the boundaries of podcasting, using audio and video to tell stories that are real, relatable, and uniquely theirs," said Carl Zuzarte, head of Studios at Spotify Southeast Asia.
"Through RADAR Creators, we're amplifying the voices of emerging Filipino audio talent, giving them the platform and support to shape Filipino storytelling," he added.
Atienza's show "uncovers everyday stories and little-known facts about his celebrity guests," while Karylle's "K-drama" brings listeners "behind the scenes to places and people that shaped her story."
"I've always loved expressing myself—whether through television, digital, or podcasting—and this program is another way to keep doing that," said Atienza of his show.
In "Your Honor," Solomon and Villar tackle trending issues and intriguing topics.
Meanwhile, Prime blends Gen Z humor and unfiltered commentary in "Dagok Time!" while Villarosa hopes to offer comfort to listeners by reflecting on her personal experiences in "Yani's Room."
"I'm proud to represent Pinoy creativity and the way our generation blends humor, authenticity, and digital storytelling," said Prime. "I'm excited to bring that bold and uniquely Filipino Gen Z energy to the global stage."
The Philippines is among Spotify's top five podcast markets in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the service.
