It was an incredible lineup of films for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night, also dubbed as “Gabi ng Parangal.” The event held on December 27 at the Theater at Solaire in Parañaque also the golden anniversary of the film festival and with it came a lineup of films that might be one of its best yet. Vice Ganda, the star of the movie And the Breadwinner Is… graced the event in a shimmering red look that turned heads.
That night, Vice Ganda accepted the Special Jury Citation award for the performance—this is also the actor’s very first award at the award-giving body. Vice Ganda arrived in a stunning metallic red look by Valdrin Sahiti. Sahiti has dressed international heavy hitters like Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey.
The look was styled by Vice’s longtime stylist Aaron Mangsat with glam by Jelly Eugenio and Buern Rodriguez. Powered by Diagold Jewelry accessories, the overall looked proved otherwise be worthy of its moment onstage.
Upon the acceptance of the award, Vice said a heartfelt speech: “I have long been waiting for this—at last, I am seen. With this movie, with this project, I am finally seen. Maraming salamat sa Metro Manila Film Festival at kinikilala niyo ako at ang kakayahan ko—isang baklang performer.”
