Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 Anne Patricia Lorenzo. Miss International Queen/InstagramAnne Patricia Lorenzo was able to fulfill her dream of representing the Philippines in Miss International Queen, the world's largest pageant for transgender women.
During the 2025 edition of the pageant in Thailand last September 20, she replicated the Top 6 placement of her predecessors: Sophia Nicole Arkanghel in 2024 and Lars Pacheco in 2023.
In a series of Facebook posts, Lorenzo shared her thoughts about her pageant journey. She began by saying that her younger self would be proud of her for working hard to achieve her goals.
"One thing is for sure, my younger self is now really proud of me dahil ginawa kong tuparin ang pangarap niya!" she said.
In another post, Lorenzo wrote an open letter to the people who tried to bring her down, saying no amount of hate will take away her dreams.
"When I was crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2025, I expected support and love. But instead, I also received so much hate. People said I wasn't their cup of tea. Others assumed I wasn't the candidate they expected to win. Worst of all, some accused me of rigging the pageant or cheating -- claims that are completely unacceptable and untrue," she recalled.
Lorenzo said she chose to keep quiet and focus on her training for the pageant. She may not have won the crown -- which went to Midori Monet of the United States -- but the Filipina beauty queen chooses to "always stand proud and tall."
"Because I fought for my dream, for my country, and for the little girl inside me who once wished for this moment," she said.
She also reminded those who keep trying to limit and destroy other people's dreams to "wake up."
"You still have a chance to change your perspective. Never, ever limit the dreams of others. If your words cannot help someone grow, then it is better to not say them at all," she said.
"Because at the end of the day, dreams are sacred. And no amount of hate will ever take mine away."
Aside from her Top 6 finish, Lorenzo also won the Best Social Media Influencer Award, which was presented by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
She was recognized for her "inspiring" video which "beautifully showcased the essence of Thailand." According to Miss International Queen, TAT will feature Lorenzo's work in their international media channels to reach a wider audience.
Lorenzo is known to many as the 2022 winner of the Ms. Q&A Queen of the Multibeks competition on the ABS-CBN noontime program "It's Showtime."
She was aiming to win the Philippines' fourth Miss International Queen title after Fuschia Anne Ravena (2022), Trixie Maristela (2015), and Kevin Balot (2012).
