Tony Award winner Lea Salonga is joining other prominent personalities in the new season of the Emmy-nominated series "Finding Your Roots."
The Filipina theater star made the announcement in an Instagram post on Friday as she showed a trailer for the series, which will premiere on January 7 on PBS.
"I'm on the next season of 'Finding Your Roots!'" Salonga said.
"In each episode, Henry Louis Gates guides guests through their family history, uncovering deep secrets, hidden identities, and lost ancestors," she added. "Here's your first look at the season, including yours truly!"

Salonga will be paired with actress Amanda Seyfried in the first episode of the new season of "Finding Your Roots" titled "Larger than Life."
Other episodes will feature the likes of actor Laurence Fishburne, actress Sharon Stone, model Chrissy Teigen, and chef Jose Andres, to name a few.
