“ASAP XP” put the spotlight on the “Divine Diva,” Zsa Zsa Padilla, with a special musical tribute during its July 5 episode, celebrating her enduring legacy and more than four decades of remarkable contributions to the local music scene.
The set commenced with the OPM icon herself, belting out her rendition of the Kenny Rogers timeless hit “Through the Years,” while looking so regal in her fabulous red gown. She was then accompanied by five beautiful and talented new gen divas—Alexa Ilacad, Kai Montinola, Esang de Torres, Carmelle Collado, and Elha Nympha—who brought grace and glamour to the stage in their striking red gowns as they showcased their impressive vocal prowess.
Alexa was the first to perform alongside Zsa Zsa, captivating the audience with her rendition of “Sana'y Maghintay Ang Walang Hanggan.” She was followed by Kai, whose performance of “Kahit Na” earned enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
Esang had a full-circle moment as she shared the stage and performed a duet with Zsa Zsa Padilla, who served as her singing coach during the reality singing competition for kids that she won in 2014. Together, they delivered a heartfelt rendition of "Minsan Pa."
Carmelle surely made her supporters proud as she sang “Mula sa Puso” alongside the “Divine Diva, while Elha shone as well with her heartfelt and powerful performance of “Ikaw Lamang.”
The tribute reached its finale as Zsa Zsa and the new gen divas performed “Ikaw Lamang” together, giving the audience one last unforgettable musical moment.
