When we hear the word “prom,” a few things come to mind: parties, coming-of-age moments, and spending time with friends before a new chapter begins. For Star Magic’s youngest talents, it’s also a chance to step away from the spotlight and experience the promenade just as they’ve always imagined through the annual Star Magical Prom.
Beyond the fresh faces, the event also highlights Kapamilya stars who once played the adorable younger versions of teleserye characters and have since grown into young ladies and gentlemen. As Star Magical Prom 2026 approaches, let’s look back at former child stars’ memorable prom appearances over the years.
The fantasy-whimsical Star Magical Prom 2023, held in Alabang, showcased dazzling artists who sparkled in gowns and suits inspired by the Regency-era romance series “Bridgerton” as they graced the ivory carpet. Among those who joined the enchanting evening was Jana Agoncillo, best remembered for her roles in “Starla” and “Ningning.” Jana turned heads in a chic black-and-yellow ensemble, elevated by striking jewelry that perfectly complemented her look.
Also in attendance was Mutya Orquia, another Kapamilya star best known for her standout role in “Mutya.” She arrived with her date, Beaver Magtalas, whose promposal was among the most talked-about at the time. Mutya dazzled in a pink gown, looking every bit like a princess.
Also part of the star-studded lineup was Raikko Mateo, famously known for his titular role in “Honesto,” who looked sharp in a blue suit for his first prom. Lance Lucido and Hannah Lopez Vito were also in attendance, exuding elegance and charm throughout the evening. Completing the roster was Krystal Brimner, who made her mark in several films and variety shows during her childhood years.
The Star Magical Prom 2024 once again brought a touch of fantasy to the occasion. Embracing the Fairytale theme, attendees arrived as real-life storybook characters, dressed in enchanting ensembles fit for princes and princesses. Krystal Brimner graced the runway in a stunning look inspired by water and petals, while Mutya Orquia made her prom return in an elegant ensemble influenced by Disney’s Cinderella.
Our beloved “Goin’ Bulilit” alums also joined the celebration. Lance Lucido looked sleek in his suit, while Raikko Mateo embodied a modern-day prince in his blue attire. Chunsa Jung resembled a fairy in her white floral dress, while Jana Agoncillo exuded elegance in a classic white ball gown.
Looking regal in her red outfit, Sophia Reola attended the special evening. She is best known for her role as Mikmik in “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit” (2019). Before becoming two of the promising housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” Miguel Vergara and Krystal Mejes were among the rising young talents who walked the runway. Even as children, both had already made a name for themselves, starring in several projects and earning accolades for their performances.
When it comes to Kapamilya child stars, these two are truly unforgettable, having graced television screens at such a young age. Bringing together a touch of magic and royalty were Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat, who had just wrapped up their series “Senior High” at the time.
Xyriel is best remembered for her iconic portrayal of Ana Manalastas in the 2011 drama “100 Days to Heaven,” a role that helped define her career. Zaijan, on the other hand, became a primetime favorite as Santino in the 2009 series “May Bukas Pa.” Both performances left a lasting mark on Filipino audiences.
The Star Magical Prom returns this 2026 with a much-anticipated futuristic theme. Star Magic has released the teaser for the event, aptly titled “Star Magical Prom: The Future.”
