The time had finally come for Kapamilya singer-songwriter Jeremy G to hit the stage and play “Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal” on its current season after the lucky wheel chose him to be the celebrity player for the game show’s June 20 airing.
After finding success producing songs for some of the biggest OPM artists across generations, Jeremy G set his sights on taking home one of the higher cash prizes on the board. He told Luis, “Ako, I’m looking forward to the nervousness tsaka ‘yung saya na binibigay sa’tin ng ‘Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal.’”
Despite being given the option to swap briefcases with another Lucky Star, Jeremy trusted his instincts and kept Briefcase 12. He stood by his decision, noting that he had seen the number 12 several times throughout the taping day. Although he started the first round by opening briefcases containing ₱25 and ₱50, disappointment quickly showed on his face when he eliminated the ₱100,000 and ₱250,000 prizes in the same round.
Jeremy’s streak of misfortune continued into the next round as he eliminated both ₱150,000 and ₱500,000. He finally breathed a sigh of relief after discovering that he had avoided becoming one of the show’s infamous “Pisonaryos.”
However, his luck did not improve much from there. Jeremy went on to eliminate the remaining high-value prizes one by one, including ₱125,000 and the coveted ₱1 million jackpot. With only ₱5, ₱10, and ₱200 left on the board, he finally gave in to the Banker’s final offer of ₱81, sealing his bittersweet decision with a press of the red button.
When Briefcase 12 was finally revealed to contain the ₱200 prize, Jeremy could not help but laugh at how wrong his gut feeling had been. Despite the outcome, he remained all smiles and expressed gratitude for the experience, ending the episode with a heartfelt message.
Valuing friendship above all else, Jeremy bid farewell by saying, “Bukod sa game, sobrang saya ko na nagkaroon din ako ng bagong pamilya dito sa ‘Deal or No Deal.’”
