Luis Manzano has carved a successful career out of making people smile. If he's this funny on television, he's definitely twice as entertaining at home, with his favorite audience, his daughter Isabella Rose a.k.a. Peanut.
And he doesn't hide the receipts on social media, as he shares adorable glimpses of life with Peanut, from their playful moments together to the times Peanut turns the tables and shows her inner 'comedienne' by making fun of her dad. Who could forget Peanut calling Luis "mango" because of his face shape? Sorry, Luis, but that one was hilarious!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, indeed. Peanut has certainly taken after her dad's charm and gift of gab. The chatty three-year-old loves talking about things she finds fascinating, such as dinosaurs, and that's not really a surprise coming from the daughter of the country's 'Pambansang Host.' In fact, according to Luis, Peanut calls herself his mini-me. Ask her why she's being so silly or funny, Peanut would surely reply, "I'm little Papa."
While Luis does most of the talking on TV, at home, he's more than happy to just sit back and listen to Peanut's endless stories. "Those are the best moments," he told ABS-CBN Studios when asked their go-to father-daughter bonding activity. For him, nothing beats slowing down and spending quality time with Peanut and, of course, his wife Jessy Mendiola.
Even just the ordinary moments with Peanut make Luis feel like the luckiest and proudest dad in the world. "Every single day, even if it's a bad day na sinasabi nating may sumpong, I think it's still a very proud day because I still get to see the biggest blessing that was given to me," he shared. "Every time she laughs, every time she has stories. Kahit anong gawin ni Peanut makes me a proud father," said the "Kapamilya Deal or No Deal" host.
