Following the remarkable success of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” ardent fans of Coco Martin have been eagerly looking forward to seeing his much-awaited return on primetime via the upcoming ABS-CBN Studios series “Sigabo,” which he co-headlines with his longtime reel-and-real-life partner, Julia Montes.
And on May 11, CCM Film Productions finally gave us an initial sneak peek of the highly anticipated series through a video uploaded on its official YouTube channel. It features an exclusive interview with the lead stars and some behind-the-scenes footage of Coco and Julia filming an intense scene during an on-location shoot in the middle of a busy street swarmed by throngs of onlookers, while staff and crew members carefully guide and assist them throughout production.
During one of their breaks, the Kapamilya Primetime King was also seen warmly interacting with the live audience—mostly children—who were visibly thrilled to meet and see their idol in person.

The couple, fondly dubbed “CocoJul” by their loyal supporters, seemed unfazed by the scorching heat as they fully immersed themselves in their action-packed scenes. Coco sported an army-green tactical jacket paired with dark gray cargo pants, a brown shirt, and what seemed to be hair extensions for his character, while Julia stunned in a brown leather jacket, black top, blue denim pants, and subtle makeup.
Based on the clips shown on the video, it appears that their characters may find themselves on opposing sides of the story, as one tense scene shows Julia holding Coco at gunpoint while he regains consciousness. In another scene, Coco’s character is seen alighting from an ordinary public bus, while Julia’s character steps out of a sleek yellow luxury car—subtly hinting at the stark contrast in their backgrounds. Despite the apparent conflict between their characters, it was hinted in the said interview that viewers can already expect a kissing scene in the pilot episode, an idea that seemingly came from Coco himself.
“Alam namin na, siyempre, ‘yong mga tagahanga namin lalong-lalo na from ‘Walang Hanggan,’ sobra kaming na-miss. [Kaya] 100% talaga ang ibinibigay at tinotodo namin dito. Hindi namin sila bibiguin,” he shared when asked why he came up with the idea.
Aside from leading the cast, Coco is once again taking on the directorial role at the same time alongside seasoned director Richard V. Somes, as both of them were seen giving instructions to Julia, the production team, and the supporting actors involved in the shoot.
“First day pa lang sisiguraduhin na namin kaabang-abang at talagang sisiguraduhin namin na sulit ang matagal n’yong paghihintay kaya magkita-kita po tayo!” Coco promised toward the end of the video.
