The crossfire triggered by unknown forces surrounding the village becomes more severe, with Datu Rahman’s (Jaime Fabregas) men making the choice to defend themselves and their community from Task Force Alpha, whom they believed were the culprits behind the massacre.
As Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) navigates through the burning community, one of his colleagues, Oliver (Geoff Eigenmann), is seen fighting back against retaliating civilians. He almost gets outnumbered but still manages to use his handgun and helmet as his means of defense.
Another part of Task Force Alpha, Harold (Elmo Magalona), struggles for survival. He eventually rescues a wounded Muslim boy, who fortunately reunites with his fearful father. Shortly after Harold kindly tells them to go straight to the hospital, an unidentified gunman shoots him down.
In the same tragic manner, Oliver gets sniped as well, faintly landing on the sand. Despite the pain, he slowly reaches for his family photo, and Marcus finds him, desperate to bring him to safety.
