The truth about Ayen's (Yassi Pressman) whereabouts is finally revealed in the March 9 episode of “Roja.”
As Emil (Joel Torre) finds the Roja family, he wastes no time and immediately asks about his daughter, Ayen, who went missing during her affair with Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing). Magnus lies and claims he does not know where Ayen might be, and this causes Emil to shoot Liam (Donny Pangilinan) in the arm, causing panic among everyone. Magnus quickly tries to calm Emil, even promising to reveal Ayen’s location, but Greta (Lorna Tolentino) interrupts---delivering the shocking news that Ayen is dead.
Tears immediately form in Emil's eyes, baffled by the revelation. A flashback shows how Ayen became enraged when blood started streaming down her thighs after Greta pushed her against the corner of the table, possibly affecting her pregnancy at the time. Ayen quickly grabbed a knife and attempted to kill Greta. As Greta tried to stop her, she managed to seize the knife, and before Ayen could strike, Greta shielded herself, accidentally slashing Ayen’s throat and causing her death.
Later, Magnus finds Greta crying in panic, her hands stained with Ayen’s blood. “Hindi ko sinasadya, Magnus,” she sobs, as Magnus tries his best to comfort her. “Pinagtanggol ko lang ang sarili ko. Hindi ko sinasadya.” Greta then explains to Emil what happened, and he realizes from her account that Ayen had also been pregnant. “Buntis ang anak ko? Hindi lang pala ang anak ko ang pinatay mo, kundi pati ang magiging apo ko!” he screams, forcing Greta to kneel before him, pleading that Emil spare everyone else’s lives and take his revenge solely on her.
Emil, still unable to believe what has been revealed to him, asks Greta where Ayen’s body is buried, and she agrees to show him. Further confirming that his daughter is no longer alive, Emil bursts into tears, while Liam, Olsen (Kyle Echarri), and Wendy (Janice de Belen) are left broken by the revelation.
