Bela Padilla is bound to take us into another world as she stars in the action-drama series “Blood Vs Duty.” Aside from once again proving her acting prowess, Bela shared more about working with her co-stars and what she found most interesting in the story during the March 27 episode of Kapamilya Chat Grand Fans Day.
Bela also reminisced about her past works in the segment “What Haffen, Bela?” In this challenge, her memory was put to the test. She was shown spliced clips from her previous projects, and once the video paused, she had to write down what would happen next in the scene. Admitting that she can be a bit forgetful, Bela felt the pressure but gamely took on the challenge, delighting fans with her candid reactions.
The first video came from Bela’s 2017 drama “My Dear Heart,” in which she played the role of Clara in a scene with co-stars Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo. Bela tried to guess what would happen next, predicting that the scenario would end in a kiss, but she missed the mark, as Zanjoe only leaned in to grab his phone. She recalled the struggles she faced during taping, particularly enduring the hot weather, though she noted that the show had a beautiful story she truly enjoyed.
The next clip featured her in “Sino ang Maysala? Mea Culpa,” where Bela, as Juris, was locked in a heated confrontation with Ayen Munji-Laurel’s character. This time, Bela guessed correctly: Tony Labrusca arrived to stop her from slapping Ayen. She revealed that it was a memorable take, as the slap she received during filming left a mark on her face.
From teleseryes to movies, Bela was next shown in the 2017 film “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” alongside JC Santos, who played Fidel. In the scene, Fidel and Stella entered the comfort room, with Stella immediately leaning toward him. The clip cut off, and Bela had to tell what happened next. She got it right: it involved vandalizing the room walls.
The fourth clip featured Bela in the 2022 movie “366.” Bela, as June, was seen attempting to make a phone call, and she correctly predicted that Marco (Zanjoe Marudo) would call back to greet her for New Year’s instead.
The final scene revisited Bela’s 2016 film “Camp Sawi,” where she portrayed Brij. In the sequence, Brij was riding a helicopter with Jerald Napoles, and their characters encountered a problem mid-flight. With the help of her fans, Bela guessed that Jerald’s character would advise her to throw her emotional baggage away—and she was right.
With those clips from Bela’s past projects, it’s now time to look forward to more intense and heartwarming scenes from her in “Blood vs Duty.”
Watch Bela take the audiences on a thrilling ride in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant starting April 4, and airing on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL) beginning April 6.
