Stella (Kim Chiu) insists to Mona (Alma Moreno) that she will do anything for her life to change in the March 19 episode of “The Alibi”
After finishing her set onstage, Stella quickly returns to their holding area to change her clothes. Noticing the rip on her blouse, Charlie (PJ Endrinal) and Bubbles (Johaira Omar) ask Stella what happened, but she refuses to answer, saying, “Wala akong panahon para makipagtiktakan sa inyo ngayon ah, kailangan kong kumita ng pera.” She reassures them that she’s alright.
Later, Stella receives a phone call from her brother, Joseph (Enzo Osorio), who asks her for money to pay his tuition fee. Stella promises to send him the money, and when she asks if he has eaten but Joseph does not respond, she concludes that her other sibling, Katherine (Angelina Cruz), has not been home either. Joseph then mentions that he no longer has an inhaler, and she assures him that he will get money from her as soon as possible.
As she continues to pack her things, an argument escalates between Stella and Sugar (Yesh Burce) as Stella looks for her missing makeup. The conflict intensifies, with Stella becoming a bit violent toward the girls who had stolen her makeup. Mona arrives to stop them from fighting, saying, “Baka naman pati mga customers mo awayin mo?” she scolds Stella.
Mona later adds that she has assigned Stella’s customers to the other girls, which Stella finds unfair. However, Mona argues that Stella’s fees are too high. “Ano ba tingin mo sa ginagawa natin, Mama Mona? Nagbebenta tayo ng katawan. Ano ako, per kilo bentahan? Lahat ng perang kinikita ko dito may pinaglalaanan ako. Hindi habangbuhay dito ako.” Stella fights back, to which Mona mocks her, saying that all she ever thinks about are her dreams
“Ilang babae na ang nagsabi sa akin niyan, ano’ng nangyari sa kanila? Hindi ba, bumabalik sa ganito?” Mona slaps her with the harsh reality that her dreams are far from possible. “Aalis ako dito, pinapangako ko ’yan. Makakaalis ako dito.” Stella insists, tears streaming down her face as she watches Mona walk away.
