Aside from their corruption and other misdeeds getting exposed, the Guerreros also had to confront the threat of being overthrown from power as National Electoral Commissioner Ignacio Medina (Simon Ibarra) revealed to the public that it was Tanggol who really won in the last elections. Miguelito tried to bribe him but to no avail, as Comm. Medina remained steadfast in revealing the truth to the people of Manila.

At the same time, Tanggol and his group arrived at the office of Commissioner Medina and managed to save him from getting killed by Miguelito and his men. An intense clash sparked between their groups, in which Miguelito had to suddenly back out after being shot by Tanggol in his hand.

Tanggol then had the opportunity to speak with Comm. Medina, who told him that it was really him who won the elections. The commissioner later announced the great news during an ambush interview, in which he also disclosed that Miguelito tried to bribe and completely silence him.

The NEC, through Comm. Medina, then officially declared via a press conference at their headquarters that Tanggol was the real winner in the mayoralty race during the last elections. Olivia was supposed to be the vice mayor but due to her untimely death, she would be replaced by the top 1 councilor. Jackie’s party-list, meanwhile, was disqualified, making her lose her position along with Roberto and Miguelito.

Comm. Medina wasted no time and immediately headed to the city hall to personally deliver the decision of the NEC to the Guerreros. A heated exchange ensued between the two camps, as the Guerreros firmly and aggressively rejected the ruling, as well as tried to gaslight and malign the commissioner and the agency.

But the courageous commissioner remained unfazed even after Miguelito shot him on the shoulder and Roberto threatened his life should he continue to insist on ousting them from the city hall. Comm. Medina even related to the press what had happened during another ambush interview.

While waiting for the day that he will be officially declared as the mayor of Manila—as well as their mission to help Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo) and his mother, Aling Myrna (Myrna Castillo), who, unbeknownst to them were under Rigor’s control—Tropang Tanggol shared a heartwarming and lighthearted moment over drinks.

They reflected on their journey together and related their plans once all of this is over. Tanos (Mark “Big Mak” Andaya) then expressed his wish for Tanggol not to forget them once he finally gets to claim the seat at the city hall that has been rightfully for him.

Tanggol confidently reassured them that forgetting them would definitely not happen since they were among those who believed in him right from the very beginning. He told them, “Walang iwanan hanggang kamatayan. Pinapangako ko sa inyo ‘yan”— totally oblivious of the gruesome events that are about to unfold.

Don’t miss the thrilling happenings in the last two weeks of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” as it races toward the much-awaited “Ang Huling Laban ni Tanggol” finale, airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2, A2Z, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
