Santino (Ron Martin) may be already gone in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” but it seemed that he won’t be able to rest in peace anytime soon. His parents, Rigor (John Estrada) and Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), continue to clash over who has the right to claim custody of his body—and who deserves the greater share of grief.

While the recent goings-on in the narrative intense, heavy, and emotionally charged, the mood off camera tells a very different story. A couple of exclusive behind-the-scenes montage shared by CCM Film Productions across their social media platforms show a lighthearted and cordial atmosphere on set.

Whenever the cameras were not rolling, the cast could be seen laughing, joking, and even teasing each other over bloopers. In one reel, seasoned actors John Estrada and Allan Paule are caught laughing together while filming a heated altercation between their characters, Rigor and Mando—long-time friends in the series—showing that camaraderie and fun were never far from the set, even amid the drama.

In that scene, Rigor flew into a rage upon learning directly from Mando that he had driven Marites away the very first time she came to Santino’s wake, all in an effort to prevent further chaos. Rigor’s anger only grew when Mando revealed that he hadn’t informed him about their latest operation against Tanggol and his group, more so when the latter disclosed that they once again failed to catch them.

Utterly fed up with his friend’s behavior and wrongdoings, Mando decided to finally confess to Marites that it was Rigor himself who killed their son during the Quiapo Police’s bloody encounter against the group of Tanggol. This prompted Marites to once again come to their house—this time with Tindeng (Charo Santos) and Congressman Leo Mojica (Rey Campanilla). A tense and heated confrontation erupted between Marites and Rigor, with Marites ultimately gaining the upper hand, as Rigor quietly allowed her and her companions to take Santino’s remains.

In another reel, CCM Film Productions also gave the fans a glimpse behind the scenes during the filming of Tanggol and his group’s arrival at Santino’s funeral at Cong. Mojica’s residence, as well as Rigor’s attempts to create chaos during the supposedly solemn ceremony.

Veteran star Christopher de Leon, who plays Ramon, was spotted exchanging cheek kisses and handshakes with some of his castmates, while directors Darnell Villaflor and Coco Martin were seen guiding the actors through the scene. This indeed highlighted just how truly hands-on and passionate the Primetime King has always been in every project that he does.

Is it still possible for Santino to really rest in peace, or will the chaos and quarrels among his loved ones continue? Let's see by not missing an episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, A2Z, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
