As another battle between the Montenegros and the Guerreros erupted in the past week’s episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” none of them were able to realize that a Mondragon was able to infiltrate their riveting and ferocious war—Rockyboy, compellingly portrayed by seasoned actor Baron Geisler.
It can be recalled that Rockyboy’s connection with Tanggol (Coco Martin) started when the latter forced himself into his hotel room to rescue Ponggay (Maris Racal) from being abused by him and eventually beat him up.
Their paths once again intertwined when Tanggol and his friends found him wounded and unconscious among the piles of trash and brought him to Mang Donato’s (Director Richard V. Somes) hideout for him to be treated. Instead of being grateful for what they’d done for him, Rockyboy thought of it as a great way for him to exact vengeance on Tanggol, so he fabricated the story of what happened to him and introduced himself as Bernard Aguirre.
Fortunately for him, Tanggol and his friends fell for his made-up narratives not just once but twice, as he was able to convince them to transfer to a safer bolthole after telling them that Donato had betrayed them and to allow him to be their driver for the day as they carried out their plan of attacking the Guerreros. Little did they know that he had an ulterior motive for doing so, which was to take revenge on Tanggol, yet he ended up unintentionally killing Erika (Gillian Vicencio).
In this video posted by CCM Film Productions on its official social media, Baron gave avid viewers a glimpse behind the scenes of that totally nail-biting and action-packed shootout sequence.
“Ang pinaka importanteng gagawin sa eksenang ‘to ay maging traydor bilang ako si Bernard dito, parang another character ni Rockyboy na pinaniwalaan ng tropa at ni Tanggol. May mamamatay, mayroon din akong pinatay. Huwag po sana kayong magalit sa akin, trabaho lang,” the versatile actor stated, as he went on to share how excited he was for the next scenes they’re about to shoot.
He went on to invite avid viewers of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” to stay tuned because every character has unique stories that we would definitely hold on to. Besides, we should also watch out for the huge, exciting scenes they’d filmed, which include the almost “nonstop bakbakan” that makes it the “number 1 action series in the Philippines.”
Will the Montenegros and Guerreros be able to discover that it was Rockyboy who really gunned down Erika? Well, that’s for us to find out, so you better not miss the next episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, ALLTV2, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL). Viewers outside of the Philippines can watch on The Filipino Channel (TFC) on cable and IPTV.
